How it works
From first message to first lesson
Four steps, and none of them involve giving us payment details.
The four steps
What actually happens
- 1
Send an enquiry
Message us on WhatsApp or fill in the trial form. Tell us the student’s age, roughly what level they are at, and which country you are in.
- 2
Agree a time
We suggest slots in your local time. Evenings and weekends are usually available. You confirm what suits your week.
- 3
Take a free trial class
Meet your teacher. She will assess the student’s level and show you how a lesson runs. No payment details are needed for this.
- 4
Start regular classes
If you are happy, we agree a schedule and begin. If you are not, that is genuinely fine and there is nothing to cancel.
What you need
Less than you might think
Equipment
- A phone, tablet, laptop or desktop
- A stable internet connection
- Headphones, which help a lot for hearing pronunciation clearly
- A copy of the Quran or Noorani Qaida
Nothing else
No special software to buy and no equipment to install. We use a standard video call. If you can make a video call to family, you can attend a lesson.
If you are not sure your setup will work, the trial class is the perfect time to find out.
The first lesson
What it is actually like
The teacher will introduce herself and spend a few minutes putting the student at ease, particularly if it is a young child. She will then ask the student to read something, so she can hear where they actually are rather than where a form says they are.
By the end she will tell you what she recommends: which course, how often, and what to expect. You are welcome to stay for the whole lesson, and many parents do for the first few.
